Quote# 135173

Who represents the Qu'ran as a "harmless book" should mean that the Horror-Shock movie "Halloween" is a lovely children movie as well.

Thereby the actors of Islamic terrorism are always witnesssing that they are holding on to the requirements of the Qu'ran and the prophet Muhammad. It's not just the ideology of the IS, but the one of Islam, with which we have been dealing in this continuous terror that has kept humanity in stranglehold for 1400 years.

Who represents the Bible as a "harmless book" should mean that the movie "The Bone Collector" is a lovely children movie as well.

The Qu'aran is not too different from the Old Testament

---"this continuous terror that has kept humanity in stranglehold for 1400 years. "

I agree. It's no improvement over the volume that has kept humanity in its stranglehold for 2000 years.

Hosea 13:16.

The "Saw", "Hostel", nay, "Human Centipede" films use visual effects, at least.

On BBC Radio 5's film review programme with Mark Kermode: when "The Passion of the Christ" was released, he interviewed the then head of the British Board of Film Classification, who said that if a film of the Bible was made: which didn't gloss over certain events, and used Scripture as the actual screenplay, the BBFC wouldn't be able to give it even an 'R-18' rating, usually reserved for hardcore porn sold in licenced sex shops, or films for private clubs.

Because of the hideous violence described in Scripture such a film used as it's basis, it would be subject to immediate seizure by the police under the Obscene Publications Act.

Those scenes in aforementioned Mel Gibson film are basically "Saw"- & "Hostel"-esque torture porn, are they not...?!

The aforementioned part of Scripture: these days would be considered worse-than terrorism.

Ergo, your 'God' is worse than ISIS. Infinitely so.

Yes, we can't forget that other volume filled with sex and violence...the Quran copies many of the same tales, which you immediately realize when you find a good translation. Hey, I wanted to understand their way of thinking.

The good thing is that only a few fanatical nutters take some parts of the Old Testament as something to be followed unquestioningly.

Christopher Hitchens referred to it as 'his twistedly homoerotic spank-movie The Passion of the Christ'. I still miss the Hitch sometimes.
